Ducks oust Avalanche

The Ducks were able to pull off another close one against a great team in the Colorado Avalanche. Early in the first period the Avalanche went up 1-0 on a goal by Svatos. The assist went to Wolski and Hannan. This would be the only goal by the Avalanche. In the second period Teemu Selanne scored his first goal of the season to tie the game up 1-1. The assists went to http://ducks.nhl.com/team/app?page=PlayerDetail&playerId=8470612&service=page and Pronger. The winning goal game in the third period when Pahlsson scored just his fourth goal of the year to finish off the victory. The assists went to Moen and R. Niedermayer. The final score went on to be Ducks two, Avalanche one. This win extended the Ducks winning streak to five games and closed out their 15-day road trip.

Seeing Selanne score and help the Ducks to victory was delightful to all Ducks fans. This Friday Selanne will make his first appearance in the Honda Center since Game Five of the 2007 Stanley Cup Finals. Selanne is currently only one point behind from surpassing Paul Kariya's all-time club scoring record which currently stands at 669 points. The game on Friday versus the Dallas Stars will feature two of the league's hottest teams. The Ducks are riding on a five game winning streak since the return of Teemu Selanne while the Dallas Stars are currently looking to extend their seven game winning streak. Definitely tune in this Friday at seven to watch and see if the Ducks can pull out this hard hitting game and extend their winning streak to six games.

The ducks are hot, and it sounds like Selanne's return is only fanning the flames
